FRAMESPORT: developing the Adriatic small ports infrastructures
Since mid-August I’m helping the Azienda Autonoma di< Soggiorno e Turismo of Termoli (AAST), Molise Region, Southern Italy, with “FRAMESPORT: Framework initiative fostering the sustainable development of Adriatic small ports” financed by the programme CBC V A Interreg Italy–Croatia. The general aim is developing the Adriatic small ports infrastructures in a homogeneous and integrated manner in terms of sustainability, competitiveness and attraction ability mainly through:
- The definition of a strategic context for designing the future of this destination;
- The realization of an ICT platform i.e. a virtual space dedicated to users and stakeholders, containing the results of the accomplished implementations of pilot actions, together with best-practices, suggestions and comments about the development and managing of the Adriatic small ports;
- The improvement of the general skills in order to reach a harmonic small-ports management, in order that they could guide the sustainable development along the entire coast.
In light of the above, my role here as an IVY volunteer is to support the project’s communication and promotion both online and offline. In fact, I also have been discovering about the importance and European aspects of keeping tight the contact with the stakeholders and the citizens of Termoli by making them aware every now and then of the project advancements.
