The volunteer will support the Interreg project “PAISACTIVO – Paisajes cortafuegos: Activación del espacio rural para un territorio resiliente”, under the Programme “Interreg POCTEP”.

The objective of the Interreg project “PAISACTIVO” is to reduce the vulnerability of rural areas to Large Wildfires (LWF) by promoting sustainable land management and revitalizing rural settlements.

The volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and  activities:

• Designing communication materials such as brochures, infographics, and videos, specifically to promote PAISACTIVO and its related initiatives;
• Creating and managing digital content for social media, websites, and newsletters with the objective of engaging diverse audiences and raising awareness about the activities and goals of PAISACTIVO;
• Assisting in the organization and documentation of events and workshops directly related to the PAISACTIVO project, including community initiatives and stakeholder meetings;
• Developing outreach strategies to connect rural communities and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the PAISACTIVO project’s objectives;
• Collaborating with the project’s press office to prepare and distribute press releases about PAISACTIVO’s activities and milestones;
• Providing hands-on support for communication and digital media efforts, strictly within the scope of the PAISACTIVO project and its associated activities.

Oxalis SCOP  is looking for an IVY volunteer!

The volunteer will support the Interreg project “HumanFactor – Closing the Implementation Gap in the Alps: Putting the Human Factor at the Center of Sustainability Transitions”, under the Programme “Interreg Alpine Space”.

The objective of the Interreg project “HumanFactor” is to accelerate implementation of existing sustainability strategies (like the Alpine Convention, EUSALP, etc..) by bridging the gap between high-level goals and local action. It aims to empower at least 200 actors with practical skills to better consider the human factor and to design locally-relevant initiatives.

The volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities:

• Support organizing workshops and training courses, by contacting participants, finding venues, reporting on the results of the workshops, etc.;
• Support with the overall communication activities of the project, including the preparation of the communication strategy, draft communication material, share ideas on the communication activities, support with creation and design of the deliverables.

FINNOVA Foundation is looking for an IVY volunteer!

The volunteer will support the Interreg project “HIBA+”, under the Interreg Programme “IInterreg VI-A España-Portugal”.

The objective of the project: 
The HIBA project started on 1 July 2018 with the Interreg POCTEP Hub Iberia Agrotech project, which ended on 30 June 2023. Now, this project continues from 1 January 2024 in HIBA+, approved by the Managing Authority (MA) of the Interreg VI-A Spain – Portugal Cooperation Programme (POCTEP) 2021-2027, in the third call. Both are situated within the framework of the Horizon Europe and Digital Europe Strategy and the policies of DG CONNECT, which is committed to structured collaboration between the European Digital Innovation Hubs of Andalusia, Galicia, Extremadura and Portugal.

The Spanish-Portuguese initiative focuses on the digital transformation of the agri-food chain, through services to SMEs and micro-enterprises. Its main objective is to capitalise on the achievements made in HIBA in order to strengthen and consolidate the IHL Network by elevating it to the status of Corridor.

The volunteer will be carrying out communication activities:

• Support and assistance to Finnova technicians in the management of the Interreg project
• Assistance and collaboration with the communication and marketing department in creating content for websites and social media
• Support in collaboration with the IT department in the development of websites/software/infrastructure
• Assistance to the communication department in organizing events related to the Interreg project
• Assistance to the communication department in press releases and newsletters
• Support in maintaining contact with the media and project partners
• Communication planning and strategic communication

IVY Reporter for the Interreg Programme “Hungary-Croatia”

Support communication about cooperation between Hungary and Croatia.

The Joint Secretariat of the Interreg VI-A Programme Hungary-Croatia is looking for an IVY volunteer!

The volunteer will support the Interreg Programme “Hungary-Croatia”.

The Interreg VI-A Programme is the fourth iteration of Interreg programmes on the common border of Hungary and Croatia. Starting from the Interreg III era until the currently closing 2014-2020 programming period, the project partners of the two countries have engaged in ever deeper and broader cooperation. For the 2021-2027 financial perspective the planners of the new Interreg programme have built on the foundations of the predecessor programmes, but have embraced slightly new thematic fields as well (e.g. energy efficiency and climate change mitigation actions, cross-border transport connection development etc). The programme is in a starting-up phase.

The volunteer will be carrying out communication, dissemination and event activities jointly with JS staff, under their supervision and supporting their work. The activities are:

• promote existing projects and share updates on the funding possibilities of the Interreg programme;
• compile success stories, capture photos, or record video testimonials, prepare statistical summaries;
• assist in designing programme’s promotional materials: booklets, newsletters, templates, etc.
• draft newsletters, organise webinars;
• with JS supervision create draft content for the programme’s communication platforms;
• gather feedback from project partners, prepare / send/ analyse surveys, conduct interviews;
• assess project partners and stakeholders satisfaction, identify challenges, collect suggestions;
• raise awareness about the projects’ goals, impact, and importance;
• participate in preparing and implementing awareness-raising campaigns or events;
• assist in organising Interreg Cooperation Day / information day events;
• help project partners during the preparation for various contests initiated by Interact or the EC.

The volunteer will support the Interreg project “SMALL – Shared multimodal Mobility for ALL”, under the Programme “Interreg North Sea”.

The objective of the Interreg project “SMALL” is to accelerate the transition towards inclusive sustainable mobility.

In the months May-June*, the volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities:

• Participating in online meetings among project parterns;
• Start organising the partner meeting that will take place in Brest in October 2025;
• Support organising and delivering some workshops.

In the months July-October*, the volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities:

•  Working with local stakeholders to contribute to the project’s implementation, including organising data-collection walks with Streetco -a pedestrian GPS app to collect data about the accessibility of the sidewalks- and by participating in the promotion of the tricycle service;
• Contributing to communication activities in order to make the new services better known;
• Benchmarking of the tricycle on demand service, supporting with research and analyses of  best practice examples.

The objective of the Interreg project “I-REWATER” is to examine water resources in the SUDOE region, focusing on the use of reclaimed water in agriculture and its impact on crop production, quality, and water resilience. The project aims to develop a transnational Action Strategy to integrate regenerated water into irrigation systems, reduce reliance on conventional sources, and enhance water resource availability and quality for other uses.

The volunteer will be carrying out communication activities:

• Designing communication materials such as brochures, infographics, and videos, specifically to promote I-REWATER and its related initiatives, including pilot actions and outreach campaigns;

The objective of the Interreg project “D4I” is to contribute to better governance and a more innovative and sustainable economy in the Mediterranean by engaging a wide network of  stakeholders (public sector, business, research, and civil society organisations)

The volunteer will be carrying out implementation and communication activities:

• Support the monitoring and follow-up actions (e.g. peer review, graphical editing) of deliverables (Mapping of MED. policy priorities, Mapping of MED. Collaboration Networks);
• Support the preparation and development of the Transformative Innovation Policy Lab (TIPL) Methodology for the IMC Regions relative to the project, including selection of external expert (tender procedure), thematic definition of content and structure of the activities to be performed;
• Support the management of the Innovative Sustainable Economy Community (ISEC) Hub of the Mediterranean as the main community engagement experience of the project. Support to maintenance, update of the corresponding tools (e.g. KUMU Directory, LinkedIn Group) and communication with hub members;

The objective of the Interreg project “RES2FIRE” is to harmonise and transfer models and tools for climate change adaptation by increasing resilience to forest fires.

The volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities:

• Attend and actively participate in working group meetings, meeting, network with project partners, and gain insights into the collaborative efforts within the project.
• Assist in drafting a brochure on fire behaviour and help its promotion;
• Assist in analysing and reporting on the environmental and socio-economic damages caused by forest fires;

The volunteer will support the Interreg project “Wetland4Changе”, under the Interreg Programme “Euro-MED”.

The objective of the Interreg project “Wetland4Change” is to develop and validate transferable solutions based on wetland conservation and restoration for climate adaptation and mitigation, in order to enhance the capacities of policymakers in the Euro-Med region to address the climate crisis at both local and national levels.

The volunteer will be carrying out communication and implementation activities:

• Support the design and the development of the methodological approach to be used to assess the flood regulation ecosystem service provided by Mediterranean wetlands;
• Help transfer the “Flood Regulation ES” assessment tools to all relevant stakeholders identified in the five target territories;
• Participate in discussions on the development of technical solutions for assessing the capacity of Mediterranean wetlands to sequester carbon and GHGs;
• Contribute to the development of a web-GIS platform for the dissemination of all results and solutions provided by the Wetland4Change project to assess “Flood Regulation ES” and “Carbon Secquestration ES” provided by Mediterranean wetlands;
• Participate in the dissemination and valorisation of all Wetland4Change’s products;
• Contribute to the visibility of the host organisation in Euro-Mediterranean countries by becoming an ambassador for wetland conservation.

The Interreg programme Vlaanderen-Nederland focuses on strengthening the five Flemish provinces in Belgium and the three southern provinces of The Netherlands. Four are the main priorities for this border area:

• innovation and research infrastructure,
• training and the functioning of the labour market,
• adaptation to climate change, biodiversity and air pollution prevention, sustainable
  leisure activities and tourism,
• solving administrative-legal bottlenecks at the border.

The volunteers will support the programme in reaching these priorities through communication activities, carrying out the following tasks:

• Coming up with ideas and input for the communication plan;
• Contacting, informing and making agreements with involved project partners for conducting interviews, articles, videos/podcast, etc;
• Support the promotion of Interreg projects by going on site and taking interviews and photos;
• Writing and/or editing articles or videos and publish them on the website and social media channels;

Support the reduction of waste’s impact in Natura 2000 and protected areas in Italy and Croatia.

The Institute of Agriculture and Tourism is looking for an IVY volunteer!

The volunteer will support the Interreg project “WASTEREDUCE”, under the Interreg Programme “Italy-Croatia”.

The objective of the Interreg project “WASTEREDUCE” is to reduce waste’s impact on green and blue areas and improve waste management in protected and Natura 2000 areas in Italy and Croatia, through concrete actions to monitor, prevent, reduce, and mitigate waste’s impact.

The volunteer will be carrying out implementation and communication activities:

• Writing and preparing material for social networks;
• Contributing to the popularization of the project by providing new ideas, especially for young people and for new content on social networks;
• Assisting in structuring and writing action plans for waste management in project pilot areas (Natura 2000 and Protected areas);
• Informing the public about project activities and educating about project issues through supporting workshops designed to inform and educate the public, especially students, about the issues related to the project.
  • Help organize the workshops (e.g., planning logistics, preparing materials, contacting institutions); Support facilitators or trainers during the workshop, ensuring everything runs smoothly; Assist in communicating the key messages of the project, making sure the target audience understands the project’s issues and goals; Help with interactive activities (discussions, exercises, presentations) to keep students engaged and actively participating;
• Participate in the production of video and other promo materials about the project;
• Learning how to write a report, helping in the systematization of deliverables.

IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project “Dialogue4LivingAreas”

Support Mediterranean cooperation in the fields of energy, transport, waste, water, and urban agriculture

Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur is looking for an IVY volunteer!

The volunteer will support the Interreg project “D4LA – Dialogue4LivingAreas”, under the Interreg Programme “Euro-MED”.

The objective of the Interreg project “D4LA – Dialogue4LivingAreas” is enhance cooperation and public policies in the Mediterranean by promoting sustainable practices in energy, transport, waste, water, and urban agriculture.

The volunteer will be carrying out implementation activities:

• To better identify public stakeholders, public policies and the potential for coordination;
• To foster exchanges between these different institutional layers and support sharing/transfer of experiences and practices;
• To improve strategic coordination at national, European and Mediterranean levels with key policy players;
• Support strategical communication – identify, reach, inform and mobilise key stakeholders, institutions and policy makers at national and international levels;
• Assisting with drafting communication materials (articles for online publication, social media posts, but also preparation of PowerPoint presentations, Excel sheets and factsheets, depending on the needs);
• Support the transfer and mainstreaming of public initiatives, policies and strategies by preparing information and materials – identification by the partners of mature replicable policy instruments in the areas of Energy Systems, Buildings, Mobility, Environment, Water and Waste.

Other information:

Financial support of: 32 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).

Location: Nice, France.
