Support placing the Human Factor at the centre of Sustainability Transitions

Oxalis SCOP  is looking for an IVY volunteer!

The volunteer will support the Interreg project “HumanFactor – Closing the Implementation Gap in the Alps: Putting the Human Factor at the Center of Sustainability Transitions”, under the Programme “Interreg Alpine Space”.

The objective of the Interreg project “HumanFactor” is to accelerate implementation of existing sustainability strategies (like the Alpine Convention, EUSALP, etc..) by bridging the gap between high-level goals and local action. It aims to empower at least 200 actors with practical skills to better consider the human factor and to design locally-relevant initiatives.

The volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities:

• Support organizing workshops and training courses, by contacting participants, finding venues, reporting on the results of the workshops, etc.;
• Support with the overall communication activities of the project, including the preparation of the communication strategy, draft communication material, share ideas on the communication activities, support with creation and design of the deliverables.

Support communication about cooperation between Hungary and Croatia.

The Joint Secretariat of the Interreg VI-A Programme Hungary-Croatia is looking for an IVY volunteer!

The volunteer will support the Interreg Programme “Hungary-Croatia”.

The Interreg VI-A Programme is the fourth iteration of Interreg programmes on the common border of Hungary and Croatia. Starting from the Interreg III era until the currently closing 2014-2020 programming period, the project partners of the two countries have engaged in ever deeper and broader cooperation. For the 2021-2027 financial perspective the planners of the new Interreg programme have built on the foundations of the predecessor programmes, but have embraced slightly new thematic fields as well (e.g. energy efficiency and climate change mitigation actions, cross-border transport connection development etc). The programme is in a starting-up phase.

The volunteer will be carrying out communication, dissemination and event activities jointly with JS staff, under their supervision and supporting their work. The activities are:

• promote existing projects and share updates on the funding possibilities of the Interreg programme;
• compile success stories, capture photos, or record video testimonials, prepare statistical summaries;
• assist in designing programme’s promotional materials: booklets, newsletters, templates, etc.
• draft newsletters, organise webinars;
• with JS supervision create draft content for the programme’s communication platforms;
• gather feedback from project partners, prepare / send/ analyse surveys, conduct interviews;
• assess project partners and stakeholders satisfaction, identify challenges, collect suggestions;
• raise awareness about the projects’ goals, impact, and importance;
• participate in preparing and implementing awareness-raising campaigns or events;
• assist in organising Interreg Cooperation Day / information day events;
• help project partners during the preparation for various contests initiated by Interact or the EC.

The volunteer will be carrying out the following activities and tasks:

• document project progress, milestones, and outcomes;
• compile success stories, capture photos, or record video testimonials;
• provide new innovative ideas for the programme’s existing communication platforms;

• conduct and process surveys, interviews, or focus group discussions and draw statistical summaries;
• raise awareness about the projects goals, impact, and importance;
• create awareness campaigns or events;

• create tutorial videos for beneficiaries about phases of project implementation with useful imput of colleagues;
• assist in organising Information days other promotional type of event on programme level;
• help project partners during the preparation for various contests initiated by Interact, EU Commission or other organizations.

The volunteer will support the Interreg project “SMALL – Shared multimodal Mobility for ALL”, under the Programme “Interreg North Sea”.

The objective of the Interreg project “SMALL” is to accelerate the transition towards inclusive sustainable mobility.

In the months May-June*, the volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities:

• Participating in online meetings among project parterns;
• Start organising the partner meeting that will take place in Brest in October 2025;
• Support organising and delivering some workshops.

In the months July-October*, the volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities:

•  Working with local stakeholders to contribute to the project’s implementation, including organising data-collection walks with Streetco -a pedestrian GPS app to collect data about the accessibility of the sidewalks- and by participating in the promotion of the tricycle service;
• Contributing to communication activities in order to make the new services better known;
• Benchmarking of the tricycle on demand service, supporting with research and analyses of  best practice examples.

The volunteer will support the Interreg project “I-REWATER”, under the Interreg Programme “Sudoe”.

The objective of the Interreg project “I-REWATER” is to examine water resources in the SUDOE region, focusing on the use of reclaimed water in agriculture and its impact on crop production, quality, and water resilience. The project aims to develop a transnational Action Strategy to integrate regenerated water into irrigation systems, reduce reliance on conventional sources, and enhance water resource availability and quality for other uses.

The volunteer will be carrying out communication activities:

• Designing communication materials such as brochures, infographics, and videos, specifically to promote I-REWATER and its related initiatives, including pilot actions and outreach campaigns;
• Creating and managing digital content for social media, websites, and newsletters with the objective of engaging diverse audiences and raising awareness about I-REWATER’s goals, particularly the use of regenerated water in agriculture;
• Assisting in the organisation and documentation of events and workshops directly related to the I-REWATER project, such as demonstrations of pilot actions, stakeholder meetings, and community engagement initiatives;
• Developing outreach strategies to connect with rural communities, farmers, and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with I-REWATER’s objectives of fostering water resilience and sustainable irrigation practices;
• Collaborating with the project’s press office to prepare and distribute press releases about I-REWATER’s activities, milestones, and findings, including the outcomes of pilot actions;
• Providing hands-on support for communication and digital media efforts, strictly within the scope of the I-REWATER project and its associated activities.

The volunteer will support the Interreg project “OBSERV’ALP”, under the Interreg Programme “Alcotra”.

The objective of the Interreg project “OBSERV’ALP” is to build the basis of an observation system for French, Italian and Monegasque cross-border territories over the coming years. The project will enable innovative experiments to be carried out on the analysis of high-frequency data (Smart Data) from a cross-border and sustainable perspective.

The volunteer will be carrying out implementation activities:

• run the project’s collaborative platform (platform name: Expertises et territoires) / internal project communication;
• joint monitoring of thematic data collection;
• prepare the steering committee;
• provide support for expenditure reporting
• help to collect deliverables from partners
• monitor downloads from Synergie CTE
• ensure the storage and availability of data on the DATASUD open data platform, in collaboration with the regional team’s technical officer.

The volunteer will support the Interreg project “RES2FIRE – Models and Tools for Enhancing the Resistance and the Resilience to Wildfire in Natural Protected Areas and Wildland-Urban Interfaces”, under the Programme “Interreg IPA ADRION”.

The objective of the Interreg project “RES2FIRE” is to harmonise and transfer models and tools for climate change adaptation by increasing resilience to forest fires.

The volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities:

• Attend and actively participate in working group meetings, meeting, network with project partners, and gain insights into the collaborative efforts within the project.
• Assist in drafting a brochure on fire behaviour and help its promotion;
• Assist in analysing and reporting on the environmental and socio-economic damages caused by forest fires;
• Participate in developing and implementing the dissemination strategy, targeting various stakeholder groups across IPA Adrion regions, including preparing materials for the project website, social media accounts, promotional videos, newsletters, etc;
• Prepare content for the Institute’s social media platforms, reporting on the implementation progress of the RES2FIRE project;
• Assist in organizing a technical meeting, where the Institute will host all project partners, contribute to the preparation of materials for the event, manage media posts, and ensure smooth organization.

The objective of the Interreg project “Wetland4Change” is to develop and validate transferable solutions based on wetland conservation and restoration for climate adaptation and mitigation, in order to enhance the capacities of policymakers in the Euro-Med region to address the climate crisis at both local and national levels.

The volunteer will be carrying out communication and implementation activities:

• Support the design and the development of the methodological approach to be used to assess the flood regulation ecosystem service provided by Mediterranean wetlands;
• Help transfer the “Flood Regulation ES” assessment tools to all relevant stakeholders identified in the five target territories;
• Participate in discussions on the development of technical solutions for assessing the capacity of Mediterranean wetlands to sequester carbon and GHGs;
• Contribute to the development of a web-GIS platform for the dissemination of all results and solutions provided by the Wetland4Change project to assess “Flood Regulation ES” and “Carbon Secquestration ES” provided by Mediterranean wetlands;
• Participate in the dissemination and valorisation of all Wetland4Change’s products;
• Contribute to the visibility of the host organisation in Euro-Mediterranean countries by becoming an ambassador for wetland conservation.

The Interreg programme Vlaanderen-Nederland focuses on strengthening the five Flemish provinces in Belgium and the three southern provinces of The Netherlands. Four are the main priorities for this border area:

• innovation and research infrastructure,
• training and the functioning of the labour market,
• adaptation to climate change, biodiversity and air pollution prevention, sustainable
  leisure activities and tourism,
• solving administrative-legal bottlenecks at the border.

The volunteers will support the programme in reaching these priorities through communication activities, carrying out the following tasks:

• Coming up with ideas and input for the communication plan;
• Contacting, informing and making agreements with involved project partners for conducting interviews, articles, videos/podcast, etc;
• Support the promotion of Interreg projects by going on site and taking interviews and photos;

The objective of the Interreg project “WASTEREDUCE” is to reduce waste’s impact on green and blue areas and improve waste management in protected and Natura 2000 areas in Italy and Croatia, through concrete actions to monitor, prevent, reduce, and mitigate waste’s impact.

The volunteer will be carrying out implementation and communication activities:

• Writing and preparing material for social networks;
• Contributing to the popularization of the project by providing new ideas, especially for young people and for new content on social networks;
• Assisting in structuring and writing action plans for waste management in project pilot areas (Natura 2000 and Protected areas);
• Informing the public about project activities and educating about project issues through supporting workshops designed to inform and educate the public, especially students, about the issues related to the project.
  • Help organize the workshops (e.g., planning logistics, preparing materials, contacting institutions); Support facilitators or trainers during the workshop, ensuring everything runs smoothly; Assist in communicating the key messages of the project, making sure the target audience understands the project’s issues and goals; Help with interactive activities (discussions, exercises, presentations) to keep students engaged and actively participating;

• To foster exchanges between these different institutional layers and support sharing/transfer of experiences and practices;
• To improve strategic coordination at national, European and Mediterranean levels with key policy players;

The European Territorial Cooperation and Macroregional Strategies Unit of Veneto Region is looking for an IVY volunteer!

The volunteer will support all the 10 Interreg Programmes (Italy-Slovenia; Italy-Croatia, Euro-Med, IPA Adrion, Italy-Austria, Interreg Europe, Central Europe, Alpine Space, Espon, Urbact), with special focus on Interreg Europe and Interact.

The volunteer will be carrying out the following activities and tasks:

• support to the Unit officers with activities related to communication referred to Interreg Europe Programme and ETC and EU Macroregional Strategies in general through management of the website and social media accounts focussing on project stories to be published on our communication channel;
• support the organization of events, like promotional ones or innovative kinds of local initiatives in close cooperation with the mentor, the Head of Unit and the colleagues;
• use of basic graphic tools (i.e. CANVA, Adobe Express) and other communication tools and skills connected with the activities to run.

Other information:

Financial support of: 32 euros per day (week-end and holidays included).

Location: Venezia, Italy.

Start and duration: April, for 3/6months.*

IVY Reporter for the Interreg Programme “Italy-Slovenia”

Support cross-border cooperation between Italy and Slovenia.

The Managing Authority of the Interreg Italy-Slovenia Programme is looking for an IVY volunteer!

The volunteer will support the Interreg Programme “Italy-Slovenia”.

The Interreg Italy-Slovenia Programme has an area extension of over 19,841 km² and a total population of approximately 3 million. It covers 5 Italian NUTS 3 regions (Venice, Udine, Pordenone, Gorizia and Trieste) and 5 Slovenian NUTS 3 regions (Primorsko-notranjska, Osrednjeslovenska, Gorenjska, Obalno-kraška and Goriška), sharing the goal of enhancing cross-border cooperation for improving the quality of life of the population, preserving and promoting cultural and natural heritage and enhancing the climate neutrality of the Programme area through sustainable, innovative and inclusive growth

The volunteer will be carrying out communication and dissemination activities:

• Support the Joint Secretariat in giving beneficiaries advice for applying the Programme Visual Identity;
• Support the communication team of the Programme by managing the website back office: releasing news and Programme information;
• Release news consistent with the Programme’s implementation of Policy Objectives;
• Support the management of social media channels with analysis and improvement of the Programme’s pages: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn;
• Support at drafting press releases about the Programme implementation;
• Support the Mananging Authority/Joint Secretariat organizing virtual meetings or events in person;
• Support coordinating the Communication networking among Programme Partners, Authorities and structures.
