The Joint Secretariat Interreg Vlaanderen-Nederland is looking for two volunteers!

The Interreg programme Vlaanderen-Nederland focuses on strengthening the five Flemish provinces in Belgium and the three southern provinces of The Netherlands. Four are the main priorities for this border area:

• innovation and research infrastructure,
• training and the functioning of the labour market,
• adaptation to climate change, biodiversity and air pollution prevention, sustainable
  leisure activities and tourism,
• solving administrative-legal bottlenecks at the border.

The volunteers will support the programme in reaching these priorities through communication activities, carrying out the following tasks:

• Coming up with ideas and input for the communication plan;
• Contacting, informing and making agreements with involved project partners for conducting interviews, articles, videos/podcast, etc;
• Support the promotion of Interreg projects by going on site and taking interviews and photos;
• Writing and/or editing articles or videos and publish them on the website and social media channels;
• Contribute to the newsletter;
• Participate in the daily operation of the secretariat and attend the weekly meetings.

The volunteer will support the Interreg project “IndusTour”, under the Interreg Europe programme.

The objective of the Interreg project “Visiting lNDUStrial companies and sites as a growing lever to diversify TOURism policies” aims to improve public policies in the scope of strengthening industrial tourism in the partner territories, primarily as a means of promoting innovation, resilience and diversification of tourism services and destinations. Side effects are also expected in terms of increased attractiveness and competitiveness of the past, present and future industrial sites visited.

The volunteer will be carrying out the following activities:

• Support the organisation and communication of the IndusTour partners’ meeting to be hosted in Nicosia, including preparation of communication materials, documentation of the event and visibility actions;
• Contribute to dissemination activities aimed at raising awareness of industrial tourism and organised company visits as emerging tourism experiences;
• Assist in the collection, presentation and promotion of good practices identified in Cyprus, particularly those related to company visits and industrial heritage tourism;
• Support communication activities such as preparation of articles, short reports, social media content and visual material highlighting project activities and results;
• Assist in stakeholder engagement activities with local businesses, tourism stakeholders and public authorities interested in developing industrial tourism experiences.

The objective of the Interreg project “Sustainable Destinations Black Sea Network – SUSDEST-NET” aims to promote ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) sustainability principles in five tourism destinations by establishing Destination Management Committees (DMCs) to transform these areas into sustainable, competitive and attractive destinations that support the blue economy and protect natural and cultural heritage.

The volunteer will be carrying out the following activities:

• Support with reviewing and quality-checking translated materials, promotional content, infographics, and documentation;
• Support monitoring the project website and social media channels for compliance with Interreg and EU visibility requirements and assist in preparing and reviewing partner contributions before publication;
• Actively take part in creating engaging content for the project’s social media channels and website, including producing videos and other creative promotional materials, contributing to communication and visual design, and exploring heritage tourism topics through research and storytelling-based content;

The objective of the Interreg project ” A Sustainability Model for Tourism (F&B) – SUSTAIN-2″ aims to contribute to a more competitive and smart Black Sea region by supporting the blue economy and especially tourism by promoting the Environment, Social, Governance (ESG) sustainability to tourism stakeholders, especially in Food & Beverage(F&B) sector, in the project area and create the conditions for, and facilitate the adoption and deployment of sustainable practices by the entire spectrum of the operators, even small ones, using Artificial Intelligence and ensuring lasting effects.

The volunteer will be carrying out the following activities:

• Support the review and quality control of digital media materials, as well as the assessment and categorisation of notes from stakeholder meetings and consultations;
• Assist in reviewing draft project promotional campaign materials, ensuring that documentation is properly organised and complete. Where revisions or improvements are needed, the volunteer will communicate observations and suggestions to the project team and relevant partners, contributing to the overall quality of project outputs;
• Create content for the project website, social media channels and infographics by checking compliance with Interreg and EU visibility requirements, including the correct use of logos, visibility statements, and the accuracy of written content;
• Assist in preparing structured input requests to partners for social media sharing and in reviewing updates before publication;
• Participating in training and events organised with stakeholders. This will allow direct interaction with project beneficiaries and enable the volunteer to clearly observe and understand the project’s impact in practice.

• Support the communication, dissemination and awareness-raising actions linked to biodiversity conservation and habitat protection within Natura 2000 sites, including activities targeting young people and local stakeholders.;

The volunteer will support the Interreg project “AQUAMAN”, under the Interreg Euro-MED programme.

The objective of the Interreg project “AQUAtic systems’ evaluation for the Mitigation of wAter scarcity in mediterranean islaNds and coastal tourist destinations under severe pressure – AQUAMAN” aims to address critical issues with a sustainable, comprehensive approach that balances the needs of tourism, agriculture, and local populations while conserving water resources for future generations by safeguarding precious water resources and protect the Mediterranean’s unique lifestyle and environment for generations to come. The project focuses on tapping into non-traditional water sources such as rainwater, stormwater and treated wastewater, reducing overall water demand and optimizing distribution systems.

The volunteer will be carrying out the following activities:

ENGAGING THE TARGET AUDIENCE AND SETTING THE BASIS FOR TRANSFER AND MAINSTREAMING

• Support the analysis of the stakeholder mapping carried out by SMILO covering public authorities, private actors, academia, NGOs, and local communities, to ensure their active participation;
• Contribute to the dissemination of tailored communication and engagement tools for the target groups;

WATER SCARCITY LIVING LABS AND LOCAL WATER SCARCITY MITIGATION STRATEGIES

• Assist in developing local strategies through participatory methodologies adapted to island contexts;
• Contribute to the development of an updated and inclusive awareness-raising toolkit for local communities, youth, and institutional stakeholders;
• Support the organisation of a project follow-up meeting in Porquerolles, aimed at linking the needs identified during the inception meeting with the solutions featured in the project’s solution catalogue;
• Assist in the certification process of the island living labs and in organising bilateral meetings in each living lab to facilitate their impact assessment;
• Contribute to the strategic principles on water, based on the feedback gathered in each living lab;
• As gender considerations are central to the project, support the search for female ambassadors in each island living lab to promote the certification process and contribute to building a network of island ambassadors on water.

MED ACTION PLAN FOR ISLANDS AND TOURISTIC AREAS UNDER THREAT

• Contribute to insights from island-based interventions to inform a regional action plan relevant to both the northern and southern Mediterranean shores;
• Support with knowledge transfer activities, including adapting the January 2026 SMILO label training for dissemination on the interreg Euro Med Academy platform in MOOC format;
• Assist in organising a brainstorming workshop in Gozo as part of the Med Scarcity Mitigation Action Plan.

The volunteer will mainly support the communication strategy for the dissemination of the programme, they will be involved among other in:

• Support to the organisation of events at national and regional level, including at least one initiative in the context of the Interreg Cooperation Day 2026. This will include contributing to the definition of event objectives and content, the preparation of communication materials, stakeholder involvement, on-site support and the collection of participants’ feedback;
• Communication and dissemination of project results, contributing to the presentation of Programme achievements through the NCP’s LinkedIn account, website and participation in events organised by third parties, linked to the NCP role;
• Support to outreach and promotional initiatives aimed at increasing awareness of the Programme and its results as well as project results;

The objective of the Interreg project “Green Climate Change Adaptation Solutions for Smart and Resilient Cities in Black Sea Basin – Green Urban Resilience” addresses the global challenge of climate change, particularly its impact on urban areas within the Black Sea Basin. As cities are increasingly affected by extreme heat waves, the project aims to develop sustainable green climate solutions through cross-border cooperation and the integration of local government planning. The initiative involves the creation of an International Urban LANDLAB to assist cities in measuring heat stress and developing Heat Resilience Strategles.

The volunteer will be carrying out the following activities:

• Support the practical implementation of urban greening actions (e.g. presence during tree planting activities, urban garden initiatives, public space interventions);
• Assist in the organization and facilitation of community events, workshops, and awareness-raising activities related to climate resilience and green urban spaces.
• Support communication and visibility actions of the project (preparing short texts, photos, social media content, visual material);
• Collect stories, feedback, and good practices from citizens and local stakeholders involved in project activities;
• Contribute with creative ideas for engaging young people and local communities with the project’s objectives.

IVY Reporter for the Interreg Programme “Northern Periphery and Arctic (NPA)”

The Joint Secretariat Interreg NPA is looking for an IVY volunteer!

The volunteer will support the Interreg “Northern Periphery and Arctic – NPA” Programme.

Interreg NPA is a transnational cooperation programme that supports collaboration between communities in remote and sparsely populated areas of northern Europe and the Arctic. The programme covers Finland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Greenland, the Faroe Islands, and Ireland.

Through cooperation across borders, the programme supports projects that strengthen sustainable and resilient communities while addressing the specific geographical conditions of the region.

The volunteer will be carrying out communication activities:

• Mapping and engaging with the organisations working with or for young people in the NPA regions, including Arctic indigenous peoples youth groups. The IVY will continue the mapping exercise that has already started with the objective to identify which organisations working with youth across Finland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Ireland, Faroe Islands, Greenland could be potential applicants under the Youth Call (or other prospective calls);
• Promoting the Interreg NPA Youth Call. The IVY will be creating original content and visuals for the social media channels and campaigns, writing articles and conducting interviews with representatives of youth organisations. There is also the possibility to record and edit short tutorial videos;
• Supporting the online events related with the Youth Call. The IVY will be promoting the Youth Track events and supporting the webinars’ registration and post-event engagement;
• Support broader communication activities aimed at increasing awareness of what Interreg NPA has to offer to organisations working with or for youth in the NPA regions

In addition to activities related to the promotion of the Youth Call, the IVY volunteer will contribute to the Programme’s broader communication activities.

The volunteer will support the Interreg project “Nordic Bridge”, under the Interreg “Northern Periphery and Arctic – NPA” programme

The objective of the Interreg project “Nordic Bridge” addresses challenges in the NPA region, such as brain drain, limited collaboration between academia and society, and under utilized research capacities. The project will create a challenge-driven digital portal for collaborative projects to drive sustainability and innovation.

The volunteer will be carrying out the following activities:

• Participate in project meetings, co-creation workshops, and project discussions related to the development of the Nordic Bridge digital portal;
• Review, reflect, and help in the evaluations on feedback gathered from workshops, co-creation sessions, and other project events;
• Support in the portal UX-related service design activities: such as collecting user requirements, documenting functional needs, and preparing simple visual summaries;
• Collect informal feedback by getting engaged with student unions, youth organisations, and non-academic stakeholders connected to the project;
• Contribute to building community engagement around the Nordic Bridge concept.

IVY Project Partner for the Interreg projects “SOLPYR” & “INBIOPYR”

Working Community of the Pyrenees is looking for an IVY volunteer!

The volunteer will support simultaneously two Interreg projects “SOLPYR” and “INBIOPYR”, under the Interreg Spain-France-Andorra POCTEFA programme.

Interreg SOLPYR

The objective of the Interreg project “SOLPYR – Knowledge and protection of the soils of the Pyrenees” focuses on the vulnerability of Pyrenean soils in relation to climate change and the consequences of mountain land use in this context. The project aims to provide unified information on mountain soils in the Pyrenees, as well as a catalog of the main types of soils and their vulnerability, define a series of good practices for their protection, and finally create educational resources to raise awareness among the population and mountain users about soil conservation, as well as involve them through participatory science actions.

Interreg INBIOPYR

The objective of the Interreg project “INBIOPYR – Contribution to cross-border harmonization in the collection of wildlife data and development of indicators for Pyrenean wildlife species sensitive to climate change.” aims to go one step further and use the huge amount of the information available in FAUNAPYR and other sources to generate useful indicators to relate the spatio-temporal changes in the distribution of the fauna of the Pyrenees with the climate change.

The volunteer will be carrying out the following activities:

• Assist with organization of events within the projects framework;
• Contribute to the update of the projects’ websites;
• Assist with the graphic design of brochures and communication elements;
• Help with the translation of documents;
• Write news articles for the projects’ websites;
• Support reviewing information on the OPCC Geoportal;
• Contribute to the newsletter;
• Support the SOLPYR coordination meetings and Seminaries as part of the OPCC team;
• Contribute to reviewing processes and dissemination of technical paper and documents concerning clima-soil risk and adaptation issues;
• Assist with updating social networks.
