Follow the #EURegionsWeek with us

This week the European Week of Regions and Cities has started, bringing together local actors who showcase initiatives, exchange knowledge, and inform about best European Union cohesion policy practices. The event this year takes place mostly online from 10 to 13 October, and is open to everyone. It includes hundreds of workshops, labs and exhibitions for everyone to follow and interact.

We take active part in this huge event, too, with a couple of workshops and activities:

  • we present IVY with the pitch #Youth4Coop – initiatives for and by young people in territorial cooperation on Thursday, 13 October, at 09:30 AM. In 15 minutes, the IVY team will inform about this unique volunteering programme, and volunteer Hana Jemli will talk about her experience supporting cooperation between France and Belgium. Register here.
  • we have prepared an online exhibition with material about IVY and testimonials from IVY volunteers.
  • Cinzia moderates the workshop Youth Beyond Borders: how to overcome obstacles, focusing on cross-border initiatives addressing youth, on Thursday, 13 October 2022, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, and you can register here.
  • AEBR’s and DG REGIO organised the workshop B-Solutions: solving cross-border obstacles to enhance development of border regions, on Thursday, 13 October 2022, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, and we’d love for young people to participate and bring their perspective to the conversation. You can register here.

Join the discussion and bring your perspective to these and many other workshops this week. The #EURegionsWeek is a great opportunity to network and learn, as former volunteer Diana, who took part in the European Week of Regions and Cities in the past, told us in an interview for the IVY’s newsletter. Read here her testimonial about her experience following workshops organised withing “the week”.

You can find more workshops and browse the programme here – join us and speak up for #Youth4Coop!
