IVY Reporter for the Interreg Programme “Hungary-Croatia”

Support communication about cooperation between Hungary and Croatia.

The Joint Secretariat of the Interreg VI-A Programme Hungary-Croatia is looking for an IVY volunteer!

The volunteer will support the Interreg Programme “Hungary-Croatia”.

The Interreg VI-A Programme is the fourth iteration of Interreg programmes on the common border of Hungary and Croatia. Starting from the Interreg III era until the currently closing 2014-2020 programming period, the project partners of the two countries have engaged in ever deeper and broader cooperation. For the 2021-2027 financial perspective the planners of the new Interreg programme have built on the foundations of the predecessor programmes, but have embraced slightly new thematic fields as well (e.g. energy efficiency and climate change mitigation actions, cross-border transport connection development etc). The programme is in a starting-up phase.

The volunteer will be carrying out communication, dissemination and event activities jointly with JS staff, under their supervision and supporting their work. The activities are:

• promote existing projects and share updates on the funding possibilities of the Interreg programme;
• compile success stories, capture photos, or record video testimonials, prepare statistical summaries;
• assist in designing programme’s promotional materials: booklets, newsletters, templates, etc.
• draft newsletters, organise webinars;
• with JS supervision create draft content for the programme’s communication platforms;
• gather feedback from project partners, prepare / send/ analyse surveys, conduct interviews;
• assess project partners and stakeholders satisfaction, identify challenges, collect suggestions;
• raise awareness about the projects’ goals, impact, and importance;
• participate in preparing and implementing awareness-raising campaigns or events;
• assist in organising Interreg Cooperation Day / information day events;
• help project partners during the preparation for various contests initiated by Interact or the EC.

VY Project Partner for the Interreg Project “Eurocity 2030”

Support communication about cooperation between Galicia (Spain) and Portugal.

The EGTC Eurocidade Chaves-Verin is looking for an IVY volunteer!

The volunteer will support the Interreg project “Eurocity 2030″, under the Interreg Programme “Interreg Spain-Portugal (POCTEP)”.

The objective of the Interreg project “Eurocity 2030” is to implement a set of actions that allow a new approach to the cross-border governance of Eurocity Chaves-Verin, considering different areas of cooperation. Continuing the experience of recognized success that is the Eurocity Chaves-Verin, the EUROCIDADE 2030 project aims to strengthen the capacity for administrative cooperation and cooperation between citizens and institutions, particularly with a view to addressing main challenges identified for
cross-border cooperation in this territory.
Eurocity’s intervention priorities in terms of strengthening administrative cooperation:
YOUTH 2030: with a view to improving the institutional coordination of services cross-border activities to promote the inclusion of young people, focusing in particular on those at risk of exclusion;
CITIZENSHIP 2030: aiming to reinforce administrative coordination and create instruments that allow the consolidation of cross-border citizenship, especially through provision of integrated services at a cross-border level.

The volunteer will be carrying out communication activities:

• assist in creating social media posts, designing informational materials to promote youth inclusion initiatives and updating content on the official Eurocity website;
• help organize and promote cultural events, write press releases, and develop content highlighting cultural activities aimed at youth inclusion;
• support the dissemination of a strategy document, create presentations, and facilitate online discussions;
• creating promotional campaigns, including social media posts and informational brochures, to raise awareness about the benefits and usage of the Eurocitizen card;
• assist in developing informational content for stakeholders;
• promote pilot actions through social media, newsletters, and community outreach, as well as gathering feedback from participants;
• support the creation of promotional materials, manage social media accounts, and assist in organizing public events to enhance the visibility of the Eurocity;
• draft newsletters and create engaging content for the website and social networks.

IVY Reporter for the Interreg Programme “Hungary-Slovakia”

Support cooperation between Hungary and Slovakia.

The Joint Secretariat Interreg  Hungary-Slovakia is looking for an IVY volunteer!

The volunteer will support the Interreg Programme “Hungary-Slovakia” which aims to relieve administrative and legal barriers at the Hungarian-Slovak border, to build up mutual trust between the citizens of the area and to make the border region environmentally friendly.

The volunteer will be carrying outthe following activities and tasks:

• Promoting projects: They will help spread the word and keep stakeholders engaged by crafting compelling stories, gathering captivating photos, and capturing video testimonials showcasing approximately 45 projects funded through the Hungary-Slovakia Interreg Programme;
• Organizing European Cooperation Day: Their assistance would be invaluable in supporting coordination of events at the program level, ensuring the seamless execution of activities aimed at celebrating European cooperation and fostering cross-border partnerships.

Volunteer will work in close collaboration with the staff members but she/he is responsible for compelling project stories in three language mutation.

Collaboration and teamwork are central to our approach, and IVY volunteers will be integrated into the team seamlessly. They will have the opportunity to contribute their insights, ideas, and skills.

IVY Reporter for the Interreg Programme Netherlands-Flanders (Vlaaned)

Promote cooperation across the Belgian and Dutch borders!

The Joint Secretariat Interreg Vlaanderen-Nederland is looking for three volunteers and the Managing Authority is looking for one volunteer! (4 positions)

The Interreg programme Vlaanderen-Nederland focuses on strengthening the five Flemish provinces in Belgium and the three southern provinces of The Netherlands. Four are the main priorities for this border area:

• innovation and research infrastructure,
• training and the functioning of the labour market,
• adaptation to climate change, biodiversity and air pollution prevention, sustainable
  leisure activities and tourism,
• solving administrative-legal bottlenecks at the border.

The volunteers will support the programme in reaching these priorities through communication activities, carrying out mainly two strands of tasks:

• Interreg VI: promote & report >>> communication about projects

From this year onwards, we are expanding our content planning/calendar and pouring it into sections such as ‘project highlighted’ (interview), ‘behind the scenes’, ‘did you know’ (infographic), testimonials (project partner, residents or other target groups that experience the impact of the project), interactive polls, information about guides and/or regulations, etc. With this the volunteer(s) can make a substantial contribution to bring projects to the attention through our website and social media channels by fully playing out the role as an Interreg reporter through articles, interviews, videos, photo reports, blogs…

Concrete tasks:
– coming up with substantive input for the calendar (by, among other things, questioning the project advisors) and checking with the communications advisor
– contacting, informing and making agreements with involved project partners for conducting interviews, articles, making videos, etc.
– go on site and ensure that the interview can be conducted and that photos are taken (everything that is needed to achieve a nice result)
– writing and/or editing and making the item suitable for website and social media
– active contribution to the newsletter (and possible full ‘take over’ is negotiable!)
– you will also participate in the daily operation of the secretariat and attend our weekly meetings

• Interreg VI: analyse & report >>> public consultation

The European Commission’s Directorate General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) launched a consultation process to gather opinions/comments/suggestions as to what shape Interreg should take after 2027. DG REGIO encourages Interreg programmes to run a wider stakeholders’ consultation – e.g. local communities, (potential) beneficiaries, citizens – as they best know their constituency and already have some experience in this respect (e.g. consultations to prepare the 2014-2020 Interreg).
As an Interreg programme, we also foresee a consultation in 2024. The volunteer(s) can play an important role in this when it comes to questioning citizens in our border region. We are currently brainstorming about an efficient approach, but if we find candidates quickly, we are happy to involve them in the entire thought process. In addition, we see the volunteer(s) as best suited to conduct research, collect and analyse data and work with us on the final harvesting report.

Concrete tasks:
– active contribution to shaping the survey among citizens (action plan, communicative framework, practical elaboration, etc.)
– you will receive a short training from one of our colleagues so that you can anticipate certain situations during the surveys
– go out and question citizens at strategic places (together with another volunteer or colleague)
– during the consultations: occasionally take some photos and film (we provide an enthusiastic ‘promo video’ about the consultation of citizens during the process)
– analysing the collected information and providing feedback to the colleagues involved

IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project “StrategyMedFor”

Support Sustainable Management of Mediterranean Forests.

International Association for Mediterranean Forests is looking for an IVY volunteer!

The volunteer will support the Interreg project “StrategyMedFor – Strategy for the Sustainable Development of Mediterranean Forests”, under the Interreg Programme “Interreg Euro – MED”.

The objective of the Interreg project “StrategyMedFor” is to develop a 10-year Strategy for the Sustainable Management of Mediterranean Forests that will integrate new technologies & Mediterranean-wide data to identify which forests to protect, restore or manage.

The volunteer will be carrying out the following tasks and activities:

• support in social media’s management;
• support in website’s optimisation and management;
• support in the organisation of project events;
• support in the development of engagement methodologies for partners and stakeholders; development of strategies for the involvement of young people in the communication of the project;
• assist, if needed, in the data entry of the Carbon Footprint Calculation using the online tool of the Programme.

IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project “ALCOTRAITÉ”

Support better governance in the border regions between Italy and France.

Mission Opérationnelle Transfrontalière (MOT) is looking for an IVY volunteer!

The volunteer will support the Interreg project “ALCOTRAITÉ”, under the Programme “Interreg France – Italia ALCOTRA”.

The objective of the Interreg project “ALCOTRAITÉ” is to address certain issues relating to the Quirinal Treaty signed in 2021 between Italy and France, and to identify the obstacles to cooperation between the border territories, in order to develop better governance in cross-border themes such as health, transport, biodiversity and water.

The volunteer will be carrying out the following activities and tasks:

• Support in the organization of three main events (territorial workshops) with local stakeholders at the FR-IT border, especially involving young people in the border area. These three seminars/workshops are planned for the beginning of 2025;
• Support in analysing the results of a large consultation on cross-border obstacles between France and Italy, which will be carried out during the summer 2024;
• Attending events organised in the framework of the project;
• Drafting articles on the project for the MOT’s newsletter, social networks and website.

All of these activites are foreseen wiithin the framework of the Alcotraité project

IVY Project Partner for the Interreg project “BiodivTourAlps”

Mercantour National Park is looking for an IVY volunteer!

The volunteer will support the Interreg project “BiodivTourAlps”, under the Interreg Programme “ALCOTRA”.

The objective of the Interreg project “BiodivTourAlps” is to reduce human pressure on natural areas by working with the tourism industry. The partners in this project represent protected areas with a high level of protection in the Alps

The volunteer will be carrying out implementation and communication activities:

• Strengthening the network of socio-economic players in the area, a target for raising awareness as part of the project (mountain hut wardens, outdoor activity providers, tourist offices, etc.);
• Participate in the development of the training and animation program related to the previous activity;
• Promoting communication around the project’s activities, proposing ideas and content in connection with the achievements on various media (newsletter in particular);
• Participate in the exchanges on project activities and learn about the cross-border dimension necessary for the successful implementation of the various missions;
• Compile the attendance data collected as part of the project and co-build a survey of attendance and satisfaction for the general public.

The objective of the Interreg project “Tecnical Assistance National Contact Point Interreg IPA ADRION 2021 – 2027” is to support the Programme Authorities and the national beneficiaries in Italy, by organizing and participating to events, providing translations and dissemination of documents, prepare communication material, etc.

Support communication about innovative solutions for Cross-border aging population in Galicia – North Portugal

Galician Health Knowledge Agency (Axencia Galega para a Xestión do Coñecemento en Saúde – ACIS) is looking for an IVY volunteer!

The volunteer will support the Interreg project “TransfireSaúde”, under the Interreg Programme “POCTEP”.

The objective of the Interreg project “TransfireSaúde” is to address the problem of aging population through mechanisms that ensure the sustainability of the health system and at the same time, to convert this issue into an opportunity for economic development as a leading and transforming Euroregion in terms of active and healthy aging. TransfireSaúde is committed to strengthening the integration of the Euroregional health research and innovation ecosystem for the joint development of actions focused on the adoption of innovative solutions, especially in the framework of AI, to address the challenges related to active and healthy aging (EAS) and personalized medicine (PM), preferably in the primary care environment.

The volunteer will be carrying out  communication activities:

• Collaboration in the management of social networks and creation of publications for them (LinkedIn, Facebook, X);
• Participation in the organization of workshops and events, including a cross-border working group workshop and the celebration of cross-border investigation research awards;
• Collaboration in the design of promotional posters for the different project events;

The Joint Secretariat of the Interreg Programme Italy – Croatia is looking for an IVY volunteer!

The volunteer will support the Interreg Programme “Italy – Croatia”.

The Italy-Croatia CBC Programme supports cooperation between Italy and Croatia along the Adriatic Sea, aiming to improve the quality of life for over 12.4 million citizens through innovative projects and investments. It is managed by the Managing Authority and Joint Secretariat based in Venice.

The volunteer will be carrying out communication and dissemination activities:

• support the communication officers’ daily tasks, such as drafting articles and/or content for the Programme website, newsletter and social media profiles;
• produce insights and visual products for social media in compliance with the Programme Communication Plan;
• collect data on the performance of the Programme social media profiles;
• monitor the implementation of project websites and refer about this activity to Programme communication officers;
• the volunteer will be involved in creating a storytelling of ongoing Programme activities as well as of the first results achieved by Small-Scale Projects;
• The volunteer will be involved in events organisation if any is planned during their volunteering period.
