Roadmap for an innovative social enterprise
My name is Kelly, and I am working for the Drama Chamber of Commerce and Industry as IVY volunteer to the Social Forces Project (http://socialforces.eu) in Greece. My experience begins during the covid-19 pandemic and adjusting to the "new normal" working status that is 50% telework and 50% living. Despite these circumstances, I managed to complete my training at the program. I also had the pleasure of meeting and volunteering with the people at the chamber.
The objective of the Social Forces is to reinforce the effectiveness of the regional policies and local initiatives in promoting and supporting social entrepreneurship through the designing of common activities fostering awareness of social economy and cooperation for setting up an innovative support structure acting as Social Entrepreneurship E- Help Desk in Greece and Bulgaria, as an asset for local economic development and territorial competitiveness.
The project covers Greece's northern territory (Evros, Kavala, Xanthi, Rodopi, Drama, Thessaloniki, Serres) and its Bulgarian border region (Blagoevgrad, Smolyan, Kardzhali, Haskovo). The project is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the Programme INTERREG V-A "Greece-Bulgaria 2014-2020 and national funds of the countries participating in it.
Social Forces Project has been operating since 2008 until today and has achieved most of its purposes. The project's main outputs, which consist of its innovative character, are a roadmap and joint guidelines for setting up and running an innovative social enterprise.
As I wanted to professionally develop in the Marketing sector, my primary mission is to contribute to the project's communication and dissemination activities:
Contribute to content creation for the website.
Disseminate the project results.
Produce press releases.
Provide assistance in administrative work such as project budgeting and drafting a new budget request.
Provide support in any other task related to the development and promotion of the Social Forces project.
I am very interested in Interreg as it is a programme thoroughly improving the border areas development. Thus, I consider it essential for me to participate in the actions explicitly aiming at the sustainable development of my area. I am genuinely grateful to the Interreg Volunteer Youth programme to keep adding such enriching experiences to my professional path.
