On Wednesday 4th April 2018 there was the kick-off meeting of the Interreg Artvision+ project at the Apulia Film Commission’s office (Bari), where the Pino Pascali Foundation together with its three young volunteers and the other partners from Croatia and Veneto Region took part.
The meeting started with a brief press conference, in which the exponents of the involved partnership’s region shortly drew the overall objectives of ArTVision+ project. One of the volunteer of Pino Pascali Foundation, Ludovica La Ghezza, offered herself to translate simultaneously from English to Italian the speech of Valerij Iuresić’, director of Culture and Tourism Departement at the Primorje Gorski Kotar’s countee, Croatia.
«It was my very first experience as professional translator. I am proud of myself and honoured for having had this great opportunity. I could never imagine that I would have been sitting at the partners’ board during the conference», said Ludovica.
After the press conference, the volunteers together with the partners joined to discuss the project procedures; the Pino Pascali Foundation presented the young volunteers of the project to the partners of Croatia and Veneto Region.
The two volunteers Kristina Vidović and Alessandro Messa made a brief presentation of the IVY initiative and shared some of their activities that will be carried out by the Pino Pascali Foundation.
«It was a new interesting experience. I had the chance to challenge myself with the project’s partners in order to better understand how the project will be carried out and what can I do with my contribution», Alessandro.
«I am really grateful for taking part at the kick-off meeting. It was a pleasure to meet all partners, especially the Croatian ones and see the excitement and the commitment of every partner to achieve the project’s goals and create meaningful change in their own communities», Kristina.
The partners thanked the volunteers for their contribution and asked them some information regarding their role in an Interreg project and how to host a group of volunteers in their own institutions and/or offices.
