Interreg Project Partner at FEUGA, Fundación empresa-universidad gallega

Vigo, Spain

The volunteer will be involved in the Interreg Project "Management coordination and recovery strategies for sludge and organic waste in the SUDOE region (ECOVAL)".  The project focuses on urban organic waste, that leads to environmental challenges such as minimizing landfill disposal or increasing recycling. The project ECOVAL offers a new model of environmental management applicable in the cities of the Sudoe region, integrating multidisciplinary aspects as legislative, economic, market, environmental or social. ECOVAL thus contributes to the integration of the circular bioeconomy by promoting waste reduction and the protection of the environment through the conversion of waste into resource.

 

The volunteer will carry out the following tasks and activities:

  • Management of ECOVAL social networks and of the project website;

  • Participation in the design and implementation of a communication campaign within the European Week Waste Reduction Campaign;

  • Participation in the design and implementation of communication campaigns on the separation and management of organic waste through: social networks, online and traditional media (press, public transport, etc.);

  • Participation in schools and institutes’ talks to educate young people about and waste management and the importance of the protection of the environment;

  • Preparation of an informative video, which will include testimonies from women scientists explaining some aspects of their work related to the ECOVAL model;

  • Design of communication materials and videos related to the project.

The volunteer will be involved in the Interreg Project "Recovery of by-products and wastewater from the canning industry in the POCTEP space (CONSERVAL)".  The project aims to conserve and protect the environment and promote resource efficiency, in particular by contributing to the circular economy model and developing technological lines for the recovery of waste, 

 

In particular, the volunteer will carry out the following tasks and activities:

  • Create content about the project for the social media channels, website and newsletter.

  • Participation in workshops and organization of events.

  • Writing of reports related with the activities performed, especially those linked with stakeholder engagement, networking with other initiatives and communication.

  • Promoting the CONSERVAL cross border network.

  • Participation in communication committee meetings of the project, together with the other partners from Portugal and Spain.

Interreg Reporter for the Interreg Vlaanderen-Nederland

Antwerpen, Belgium

Two volunteers are required in order to report on the projects under the Interreg Vlaanderen-Nederland Programme, developed within the area between the Netherlands and Flanders (Belgium), including five Flemish provinces and three southern provinces of The Netherlands. The programme is now focusing on four policy objectives:

  • A smarter Europe: innovation and skills for smart transformation

  • A greener Europe: climate, environment and nature

  • A more social Europe: inclusive labor market, training and sustainable leisure activities

  • A Europe without borders: work together to overcome border obstacles

 

The volunteers will carry out communicaiton tasks, in order to enhance the visibility of the programme and the projects. In particular:

  • Develop content for the website and social media: articles, interviews, videos, photo reports, blogs etc;

  • Logistic support on organizing events related to the programme activities;

  • Report on the programme activities, events, meeting and so on;

  • Reach potential beneficiaries and inform them about the possibilities within the program.

Interreg Reporter for the Interreg
Greece-Bulgaria Programme

Thessaloniki, Greece

A volunteer is required in order to report on the projects under the of Cooperation Programme  Interreg V-A “Greece-Bulgaria 2014-2020”, that has the following priorities:

  • A Competitive and Entrepreneurship Promoting Cross-Border Area

  • A Sustainable and climate adaptable Cross-Border area

  • A better interconnected Cross-Border Area

  • A socially inclusive Cross-Border area

  • Technical Assistance

 

The volunteers will carry out communicaiton tasks, in order to enhance the visibility of the programme and the projects. In particular:

  • Providing support in the organisation of Programme events (i.e. EC-Day 2021, participation in the International Fair of Thessaloniki, Programme capitalisation event, Committees meetings etc.);

  • Providing support to the daily communication with the project beneficiaries, collection of project deliverables, data entry in the programme website and KEEP database (short descriptions/texts required to be written);

  • Developing content for the Programme website and social media (articles, interviews, videos, photos etc.);

  • Collecting material for illustrated booklet with charts, statistics and short texts promoting the Programme’s achievements and setting the basis for their capitalisation in the new programming period.

Interreg Project Partner at Eurac Research

Bolzano, Italy

The volunteer will be involved in theInterreg project "Qualità dell’Aria negli Edifici Scolastici (QAES)", that aims to develop new standards for improving the quality of the air and indoor environment of schools. The project addresses the problem of the poor quality of the air and indoor environment in school buildings and the associated impact on health and learning capacity.

 

In particular, the volunteer will carry out the following tasks and activities:

  • Support in the definition of algorithms to predict the concentration of air contaminants based on the room/space configuration  (e.g. number of openings, number of occupants, room dimensions, availability of mechanical ventilation, etc.);

  • Define the architecture of the tool which: (i) must be usable via PC, tablet, and smartphone, and (ii) must allow to change the prediction algorithms at later stages without rebuilding the whole tool;

  • Build a first fully operative version of the tool as well as an updated version.;

  • Organize and participate to events with QAES partners and stakeholders (such as local designers, school personnel, Council and Province members responsible for school buildings, etc.) to collect feedbacks on the usability of the tool. Depending on the development of Covid19 pandemic, these events might be physical, on-line, or both;

  • The QAES project is supported by an important communication campaign in which the volunteer can be involved. He/she could participate in the writing of the news that are published weekly on the website, take part in webinars, training courses and conferences that aim to raise awareness to the issue of indoor air quality in schools. 

Looking for a candidate someone with good programming skills because he/she will be involved in defining an online tool.

Interreg Project Partner at Plan Bleu pour l’Environnement et le Développement en Méditerranée

Marseille, France

The volunteer will be involved in the Interreg Blue Growth community project, that aims to facilitate the development of a sustainable Blue economy in the Mediterranean Region. Blue Growth, after laying the foundations of a strong community during the project’s first phase, comes now to its capitalization phase.

The volunteer will be involved in the following activities and tasks:

  • Support to the development of Capitalization activities in the framework of the Blue Growth project;  

  • Support to the organization of a Capitalization event on issues related to Blue economy;

  • Carrying out some communication activities related to the project (e.g. press release, writing of news, event report);

  • Ensuring the smooth running of the project and related activities; 

  • Reporting to and constantly coordinate with the Plan Bleu Programme Officer for Blue economy on the development of projects’ activities;

  • Representing Plan Bleu during external events organized in the framework of Interreg Med programme, as necessary 

  • Ensure synergies with other Interreg Med projects Plan bleu is involved in such as Biodiversity Protection community and Sustainable tourism community when necessary.

Interreg Reporter for the Interreg Atlantic Area Programme

Porto, Portugal 

The volunteer will be involved in the activitties developed within the Interreg Atlantic Area Programme.  As part of the European Union’s Cohesion Policy, Interreg Atlantic Area supports transnational cooperation projects in 36 Atlantic regions of five countries: France, Ireland, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom, contributing to the achievement of economic, social and territorial cohesion.

In particular, the volunteer will carry out communication tasks and activities, such as:

  • Support the delivery of a booklet with information about the 71 funded projects: interact with lead partners to collect projects data and results: organise information, contribute to the booklet content, interact with the communication agency; 

  • Support the update of social media channels (twitter, facebook,linkedin, youtube);

  • Write shorts news / articles about projects to publish on social media; 

  • Support the analyses of the results of a survey launched about the programme communication.

Interreg Project Partner at Communauté Communes Coeur de Savoie

Montmélian, France

The volunteer will be involved Interreg project InnovLab, that aims to make the system of micro and small enterprises in this territories more competitive and sustainable, promoting entrepreneurship of the new generations, innovation of the business models and their digital transformation.

The volunteer's mission will be based on two main activities:

​- The organization of the InnovLab School closing event:

  • Assisting the Youth Officer in the organization of the InnovLab School closing event;

  • Communication activities: creation of content to promote the event on social media etc;

-The organisation of the InnovLab Camp in the framework of the "Living Lab" approach:

  • Assist the Franco-Italian cooperation Officer in coordinating the action (link between partners and service providers);

  • Translate in-house documents;

  • Participate in the co-creation and implementation of the InnovLab Camp;

  • Work as a "reporter" on the Living Lab action: creation of content for the promotion of the approach (Photographs, videos, writing of communication material).

Interreg Project Partner at the Conférence des Régions Périphériques Maritimes d’Europe (CRPM)

Barcelona, Spain

The volunteer will be involved in 2 different Interreg MED projects involving the CPMR Intermediterranean and Islands Commissions, which include: SMART MED, BEST MED.

In particular, the volunteer will:

  • Support the Intermediterranean and Islands Commissions team with the coordination and daily implementation of the above-mentioned projects

  • Report to the Intermediterranean and Islands Commissions team, in particular the Executive Secretaries of the Intermediterranean and Islands Commissions, the Project Officers and the Senior EU Programmes Officer, through periodical or ad hoc briefing notes and whenever necessary, with CPMR Members, partners and representatives from the EU Institutions to communicate and capitalise on the projects

  • Travels related to the above-mentioned projects (and other related projects or initiatives) may be foreseen depending on the sanitary situation

Interreg Project Partner at the University of Basilicata

Potenza, Italy

The 2 volunteers will be involved in the Interreg project "THEMATIC,  a project of territorial cooperation in 
the interreg Programme ADRION. The Main objective of the project is to promote the development of a sustainable and accessible tourism economy, based on natural, cultural and historical resources. 

In particular, the volunteers will:

  • Design and testing of new instruments and methodologies for the promotion of accessible tourism, in particular  creation of tourist guides and assistance tools for disabled persons;

  • Activities  of awareness rising   on sustainable and accessible  tourism, addressed to the  local community, in particular those involving high schools and university students;

  • Design and implementation of communication  and information campaigns (creation of digital content, creation of informative materials, organization of local event) for the  promotion of sustainable cultural tourism in historical and naturalistic locations, addressed to local communities and to the international 
    tourists visiting the region;

  • Organisation of regional and international events, also supported by ITC tools, in the field of sustainable and accessible cultural tourism.

Interreg Project Partner at Community Land
Trust Brussels  (CLTB)

Brussels, Belgium

Two volunteers will support the Interreg Project “Sustainable Housing for Inclusive and Cohesive Cities (SHICC)”, that aims to support the establishment of more successful Community Land Trusts (CLT) in cities across the North-West European (NWE) region

 

The CLT Brussels-specific aim of the ‘capitalisation’ part of the SHICC project is supporting the socio-economic projects of our community. The volunteer will assist this supporting work. (S)he will be involved in socio-economic projects in which we support our members. Those projects may be in various fields (creation of a catering activity, management of a participatory budget, organisation of cycling classes, 
management of a community garden,…).

 

Activities will include: 

  • Supporting members that would like to put together a project proposal;

  • Organising meetings with members to present project proposals;

  • Logistical and administrative support for the projects undertaken by members .

Interreg Reporter at the Joint Secretariat of the Interreg South Baltic Programme 

Gdańsk, Poland

The Interreg South Baltic Programme aims at unlocking South Baltic’s potential for blue and green growth through cross-border cooperation between local and regional actors from Denmark, Germany, Lithuania, Poland and Sweden.

 

The volunteer will mainly carry out simple IT tasks on the Programme’s website and some communication activities, including:

  • Contacting projects for their promotional materials if the JS’s resources are insufficient;

  • Extracting the clue message about the project’s activities and rewriting it in a simplified English language;

  • Creating a slide show of projects’s photos and a logo;

  • Embedding videos from You Tube;

  • Adding little thumbnails for outputs for downloading;

  • Participating at events and at the organisation of the Programme’s events (Annual Event, networking meetings, communication trainings);

  • Support with social media channels.

 

Mainly the volunteer will scontribute at the development of the database of the Programme’s projects. The candidate should possess experience with a Content Management System and feel comfortable with administrating a website.
