“Nachbarsprache & buurcultuur”

This INTERREG-project has its origin at the Radboud University in Nijmegen (NL) and at the University Duisburg-Essen (DE) where the staff members organize exchanges between high schools in the border region of the Netherlands and Germany. The project is an initiative to raise awareness of the border region in general and the neighboring languages German and Dutch. Both languages are important to each other, because the cooperation between the countries (in regard to especially trade) is very close. Through more cooperation between the two countries this can be improved, and therefore it is important to raise awareness under pupils at high schools, because these children are the future of our

Always CHERISH life experiences

Hi everybody, Today is the turn of CHERISH project to be presented. It might be my last article on the IVY blog because my volunteering in EUCC-D’s NGO is ending, hence this cheesy article title. The loft appeared too bourgeois to host the

Changing your point of view through IVY

Finding a home in Europe is not a foregone conclusion, considering how many countries make up this great continent. An IVY volunteer experience changes your point of view and makes you feel part of a large community where it doesn't matter how many languages you speak. IVY gave Clémence (France) and Sara (Italy) the opportunity to work together with Impact Hub Syracuse, an international network present all over the world, which makes social innovation a priority, a philosophy of life and work. It is also a co-working space, a business incubator and a start-up accelerator. As such, the cooperative contributes to supporting projects and companies that want to have a positive and sustainable im

Promoting cross-border governance in Trieste

Hello Folk! This is Martina, I come from Italy and currently I’m involved with Interreg Italia-Slovenija Programme. That is a cross border cooperation programme focused on promoting innovation, sustainability and cross-border governance. This programme strictly observes and is in line with OTs laid down by European Strategy 2020 and European Cohesion Policy. My duty station is located in Udine, a cozy and pretty city of Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region placed in North-East of Italy where I’m working with MA staff. The headquarters is in Trieste, the stunning and breat
